{"id":3786,"date":"2021-03-25T00:22:46","date_gmt":"2021-03-25T07:22:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/revista-escafandra.com\/?p=3786"},"modified":"2021-03-25T00:22:46","modified_gmt":"2021-03-25T07:22:46","slug":"side-effects-efectos-secundarios-vol-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/revista-escafandra.com\/index.php\/2021\/03\/25\/side-effects-efectos-secundarios-vol-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Side effects \/ Efectos secundarios vol. 3"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>La galer\u00eda <em>Steppling<\/em> de Cal\u00e9xico, California, junto con la galer\u00eda i21 de Mexicali crearon a inicios de esta pandemia la exposici\u00f3n virtual de arte <em>Side effects \/ Efectos secundarios<\/em>. Debido al Covid-19 muchas de las galer\u00edas cerraron sus puertas, y esta iniciativa binacional intenta suplir la carencia de espacios para el arte. Y aunque no es el objetivo principal tambi\u00e9n se reflexiona sobre el confinamiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este pasado diez de marzo se inaugur\u00f3 la tercera edici\u00f3n de esta serie. La muestra cuenta con la obra de seis talentosos artistas en formato digital. Especialmente se trata de obras que aprovechen este formato, y que ser\u00eda dif\u00edcil mostrar en un formato f\u00edsico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La artista tijuanense <strong>Mayra Huerta<\/strong> present\u00f3 la serie \u201cVac\u00edos\u201d que consiste en dos videos. El primero, con duraci\u00f3n de casi seis minutos, nos muestra a la artista en Playas de Tijuana, junto al muro fronterizo. La artista comienza a crear agujeros en la arena de la playa, que cubre con un pl\u00e1stico negro para despu\u00e9s recorrerlos con sus pies descalzos. En el segundo video la artista acomoda pi\u00f1ones en el suelo de un bosque. Se trata de reflexiones sobre modificar y habitar el paisaje. Estos videos forman parte de una serie m\u00e1s larga de nombre \u201cVideo espacios \/ posibles\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/escafandrauabc.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/03\/captura-de-pantalla-2021-03-23-23-54-27.png?w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4099\" \/><figcaption>Fotograma del video \u00abVac\u00edos I\u00bb de Mayra Huerta.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Annetta Kapon<\/strong>, artista visual griega, presenta \u201c<em>Collages and iPad paintings<\/em>\u201d, que como su nombre lo indica, son im\u00e1genes creadas con una iPad. La artista relata que justo antes de la pandemia realizar\u00eda un viaje a Francia, y se compr\u00f3 un iPad para utilizar en vez de una laptop. Pero como el viaje se cancel\u00f3 por la cuarentena, aprovech\u00f3 la tableta para crear estas obras digitales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/escafandrauabc.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/03\/captura-de-pantalla-2021-03-23-23-55-27.png?w=993\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4101\" \/><figcaption>Collage de Annetta Kapon.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Enrique Nun<\/strong>, de Mexicali, presenta \u201c<em>I&#8217;ve got a lot of friends and they&#8217;ve got beautiful eyes<\/em>\u201d. Se trata de una serie de enlaces hacia videos de YouTube y canciones en Spotify, enfocadas en el <em>mindfulness<\/em>, la meditaci\u00f3n y la relajaci\u00f3n con cierto toque ir\u00f3nico. De cierta forma es una burla a todas aquellas iniciativas que intentan convertir a la meditaci\u00f3n en un producto del capitalismo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/escafandrauabc.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/03\/cc58fe9a-6bee-4356-8ffd-83d2d0d8a06c_rw_1920.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4093\" \/><figcaption>Imagen que foma parte de<em> \u201c<em>I&#8217;ve got a lot of friends and they&#8217;ve got beautiful eyes<\/em>\u201d<\/em> de Enrique Nun.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>La obra de <strong>Elisa Pinto<\/strong>, con nombre \u201c<em>Ask the candle<\/em>\u201d, nos muestra una vela encendida y nos invita a interpretarla como si fuera una Ouija o una Bola 8. Si la llama se inclina hacia la derecha, esto significa \u201cS\u00ed\u201d, y si se inclina hacia la izquierda significa \u201cNo\u201d, una llama tambaleante significa que debes enfocarte en tus metas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/escafandrauabc.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/03\/captura-de-pantalla-2021-03-23-23-50-55.png?w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4097\" \/><figcaption>\u00ab<em>Ask the candle<\/em>\u00bb de Elisa Pinto.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>El mexicalense <strong>Mario Romero<\/strong> presenta \u201cia no me interesan tanto los atardeceres como antes, tampoco puedo evitar levantarme a las 6 de la maniana, un ipsu que niega su entrada al velodrom\u201d. Del ocho de marzo al 26 de abril de 2021 el artista atender\u00e1 todas las llamadas que entren al n\u00famero (+52) 686-349-92-30 donde pedir\u00e1 a los interlocutores que realicen cierto tipo de acciones o simplemente preguntar\u00e1 cosas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/escafandrauabc.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/03\/a823dc2d-1067-4232-b144-1e393c5ab066_rw_1920-1.png?w=966\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4104\" \/><figcaption>Imagen del empaque del chip mediante el cual Mario Romero recibir\u00e1 llamadas para su obra de arte.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mar\u00eda G. Salazar<\/strong>, de Mexicali, present\u00f3 la obra \u201cRojo\u201d, que son ilustraciones digitales son el ojo como elemento central. La artista comenz\u00f3 este trabajo debido a la cuarentena, y en su simbolog\u00eda se encuentran no solo ojos, tambi\u00e9n l\u00e1grimas y otras partes del cuerpo. Llaman particularmente la atenci\u00f3n las ilustraciones \u201cCiclo de vida de una l\u00e1grima\u201d, \u201cMe la pellizca\u201d y \u201cAn\u00e1gena\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/escafandrauabc.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/03\/f250d9a4-7764-4e29-9b26-6c201845b0f3_rw_1920.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4092\" \/><figcaption>\u00abAn\u00e1gena\u00bb de Mar\u00eda G. Salazar.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>En resumen, esta es la ecl\u00e9tica muestra de esta edici\u00f3n de <em>Side effects \/ Efectos secundarios<\/em>, interesante iniciativa que lleva ya varios meses de estar activa. Solo resta felicitar a Adri\u00e1n Pereda de i21 y Luis Hern\u00e1ndez de la galer\u00eda Steppling por iniciarla.
