Esto a tres meses de conocer el <a href=\"https:\/\/escafandrauabc.wordpress.com\/2020\/10\/08\/side-effects-efectos-secundarios-exhibicion-digital\/\">primer volumen<\/a> de esta interesante serie de exposiciones, organizada por <em>i21<\/em> espacio de proyectos art\u00edsticos en Mexicali, B.C. y la Galer\u00eda <em>Steppling<\/em> en Calexico, CA.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En este nuevo volumen, seis artistas visuales abordan temas relacionados al espacio y territorio. Cada artista explora y representa desde diferentes perspectivas, el deseo por regresar a la vida cotidiana en el exterior, tras un largo confinamiento a causa de la actual pandemia por Covid-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde el reconocimiento del espacio que hoy habitamos casi permanentemente, hasta la a\u00f1oranza por caminos que antes fueron recorridos, este segundo volumen de <em>Side effects\/ Efectos secundarios<\/em> hace dos paradas en dos puntos tan importantes de ser reflexionados como surreales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-jetpack-image-compare\"><div class=\"juxtapose\" data-mode=\"horizontal\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"1207\" src=\"https:\/\/escafandrauabc.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/12\/side-22.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1366\" height=\"768\" class=\"image-compare__image-before\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"1208\" src=\"https:\/\/escafandrauabc.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/12\/side-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1366\" height=\"768\" class=\"image-compare__image-after\" \/><\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Por un lado, la artista tijuanense M\u00f3nica Arreola plantea una necesaria sacudida al piso sobre el que hoy descansamos, con una paradoja contundente: hoy, en el confinamiento, existe la posibilidad de seguir recorriendo caminos, virtuales, para llegar a lugares reales, que fueron dise\u00f1ados para habitar y sin embargo nadie vive ah\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La artista evidencia el desinter\u00e9s social y la hipocres\u00eda, de quienes proponen crear espacios acompa\u00f1ados de mil y un restricciones. De quienes mandan a casa, pero no a esas que est\u00e1n disponibles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despu\u00e9s encontramos la singular cr\u00f3nica de viaje <em>Selena va a Shibam<\/em> y <em>Serena channeling Ishtar<\/em> de Jessica Sevilla. Ambas obras audiovisuales se presentan como un testimonio a manera de c\u00e1psula del tiempo, de m\u00faltiples escenas turbulentas que el mundo gener\u00f3 antes e incluso despu\u00e9s de iniciada la pandemia, y al mismo tiempo se revelan como una invitaci\u00f3n a no rehuir a la constante palpitaci\u00f3n de la tierra y los actores de ella.
